Olive Egger chickens are hybird birds that get their names from the color of their eggs.  They were created by crossing a dark brown egg layer with a blue egg layer.  They can lay various shades  of olive colored eggs.  They are very charming birds and have endearing personalities.  They are friendly, docile, intelligent and easy to handle.  They lay around 150-200 eggs yearly.  They are large in size and are very hardy, in both heat and cold weather.
